Atlas CLI

The Atlas CLI is a command line interface built specifically for Atlas. After you install and configure the Atlas CLI, you can manage Atlas database deployments from the terminal with:

  • Short, intuitive commands. While you can use curl commands to access the Atlas APIs from the terminal, Atlas CLI commands are much shorter.
  • Fewer system resources. Managing Atlas from the terminal requires less available random access memory (RAM) and CPU processing time than the Atlas UI.
Note

To use the command line interface for Ops Manager, install the MongoDB CLI.

Follow these steps to get started using the Atlas CLI:

  1. Install the Atlas CLI
  2. Connect from the Atlas CLI
  3. Learn the Atlas CLI commands
